Wills
As many as 70% of adults in the UK die without having made a will. The result is that on their death their money and property may not be dealt with as they expected. Having a will means that:
- You decide how your assets are shared.
- You can make legal arrangements for the care of your children.
- If you are not married, you can provide for your partner in a way that is unlikely to happen without a will.
- You choose what people or charities receive specific gifts.
- You can make sure that you don’t pay more inheritance tax than necessary.
If you would like to make a will, contact us for a Wills Instruction form which we can send to you by email or post. Please let us know whether you are married, have a civil partner, are living with someone or are single so that we can send the appropriate form to you. Once we receive your completed form we will arrange an appointment to meet with you before preparing your will.
We charge £100 plus VAT (£117.50) for a single will and £150 plus VAT (£176.25) for mirror wills for a couple. This charge applies for wills of normal complexity and if it appears that your affairs are more complex, then we will give you an estimate of our fees before meeting with you and starting any work.
